Glass fiber woven felt bag is a kind of filter material with reasonable structure and good performance. This filter bag has the advantages of glass fiber fabric, such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, minimal elongation and shrinkage, and high strength .It also has a single fiber, three-dimensional micro porous structure, and high porosity. Compared with other high-temperature resistant chemical fiber felt filter bags, it has the special advantages of low price and higher temperature resistance. It has a higher running resistance than ordinary chemical fiber high-temperature filter materials.
Glass fiber filter cloth is made of the fiberglass yarn with special treatment like graphite, silicon, PTFE dipping, Acid repellent treatment and other chemical treatments. It is an ideal high temperature resist filter cloth. The fiberglass filter bags are widely used in industrial dust clean area, bag houses, air pollution and valuable dust recycling applications etc.
The performance and the service life of woven glass fiber filter media varies with the type of yarn, fiber diameter, twist, density and fabric structure. The influence of fabric structure on filter material performance is as following;

What are the advantages of Fiberglass filter bags?
Glass fiber filter bags are used in extremely high temperature environments, except for basalt filter bags and FMS filter bags. It is used in the anti-blowing dust particles collection system.
1. Excellent heat resistance. The maximum operating temperature of glass fiber filter material after surface chemical treatment can reach 280 ℃, which is highly suitable for dust filtration systems . Currently and in future, glass fiber remains an important high-temperature filtering material.
2. High strength and low expansion rate. Its tensile strength is higher than that of various natural and synthetic fibers .With an elongation rate of only 2% -3%. This characteristic is sufficient to ensure the filter bag with a large aspect ratio designed and manufactured with it has high tensile strength and dimensional stability.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance. At present, the commonly used glass fibers produced in China are divided into two types: alkali free and medium alkali free. Alkali free E glass fibers have high resistance to water and moist air and weak alkaline solutions at room temperature. But they are not resistant to high solubility acid and alkali corrosion. Medium alkali fibers have good water and acid resistance therefore, different components of glass fibers must be selected according to the introduced properties in order to achieve better results.
4. The surface of the glass filter material is smooth, with low filtration resistance .Which is conducive to dust removal. It does not burn or deform.
5. The fiberglass filter material is brittle. It is not resistant to bending and is not wear-resistant .It has some deformation after being pulled. Glass fiber fabrics without surface chemical modification treatment cannot meet the requirements of high-temperature filter materials. So their performance largely depends on the surface treatment process, formula, and fabric structure.
