Filter Cartridge

SFFILTECH supplies filter cartridges for liquid and process filtration where cartridge fit, media selection and operating conditions need to be reviewed before quotation. Melt blown, pleated and membrane cartridge options can be selected according to the process medium, required filtration level, housing connection and replacement dimensions. For replacement projects, an existing part number, drawing, sample or clear photos can help confirm a practical match.

Choose a Filter Cartridge by Process and Replacement Requirements

Filter cartridge selection depends on the application, process liquid, required micron rating, cartridge dimensions, end-cap configuration, seal material and housing fit. Available series may include PP, PES, PTFE, PVDF, MCE, glass fiber, activated carbon and high-flow cartridge options; the suitable media and structure can be reviewed for the operating data provided.

For water, chemical, oil, coating, electronics or pharmaceutical-process review, buyers are encouraged to confirm the process conditions and replacement requirements before quotation. Some membrane cartridges may be reviewed for gas or venting applications when the media, housing and operating conditions are confirmed.

Filter Cartridge Details To Confirm Before Quotation

For a replacement filter cartridge, the part name alone is usually not enough. Please provide the cartridge type or media, micron rating, length, outside diameter, inside diameter if needed, end-cap type, seal or gasket material, connection or adapter style, and the housing model or drawing when available.

Please also share the liquid or gas type, flow rate if known, temperature, pressure or differential pressure if known, quantity, and any sample, photo or drawing of the existing cartridge. Photos of both end caps, gasket area, inner core and installed housing can help support a specification review before quotation.

Commonly Asked Questions

  • What information should I send before requesting a filtration product quotation?

A: To prepare a more accurate quotation, please send the product type, dimensions, photos, material if known, filtration precision, working conditions, quantity, and any available drawings or samples. For replacement products, clear photos of the existing filter, connection, label, and installation position are especially helpful.

  • Is size alone enough for an accurate filter bag or filter housing quotation?

A: Size is important, but it is usually not enough. For replacement filter bags, filter cartridges, housings, or cages, details such as connection type, top and bottom style, material, pressure, temperature, medium, and application conditions can all affect the final recommendation and quotation.

  • What photos help suppliers quote replacement filters faster?

A: Helpful photos include the full product view, connection details, label or nameplate, top and bottom structure, damaged or used areas, and any existing installation position. Photos can reduce back-and-forth communication and help avoid quoting the wrong replacement design.

  • Why do suppliers ask about working conditions before quoting filtration products?

A: Working conditions help confirm whether the filtration product is suitable for the application. Information such as liquid or dust type, operating temperature, pressure, flow rate, filtration precision, and contaminant characteristics may affect material selection, structure, and quotation details.

  • Can SFFILTECH help review incomplete drawings or specifications?

A: Yes. If you do not have complete drawings or specifications, you can send the available dimensions, photos, samples, application information, and quantity. Our team can review the information and advise what details may still be needed before preparing a quotation.

  • What details are helpful for filter housing or filtration vessel quotation?

A: For filter housings or filtration vessels, please provide the flow rate, operating pressure, temperature, inlet and outlet size, material requirement, filtration precision, medium to be filtered, installation requirements, and quantity. If available, drawings or site photos can help us review the requirement more accurately.

  • How do I choose between filter bags, filter cartridges, and filter housings?

A: Filter bags, filter cartridges, and filter housings serve different roles in a filtration system. The right choice depends on the application, medium, filtration precision, flow requirement, installation space, replacement method, and whether the buyer needs only a consumable element or a complete housing assembly.

  • What is the difference between felt and mesh filter bags?

A: Felt filter bags are commonly used for depth filtration, where particles are captured through the thickness of the media. Mesh filter bags are commonly used for surface filtration or coarse particle retention. The better option depends on the particle size, liquid or dust characteristics, flow requirement, and cleaning or replacement plan.

  • What materials are commonly used for industrial filter bags?

A: Common filter bag materials include polypropylene, polyester, nylon mesh, aramid, PPS, P84, fiberglass, PTFE-treated media, and other application-based materials. Selection should be reviewed according to temperature, medium, particle characteristics, structure, and operating conditions.

  • Why is filtration precision not the only factor when choosing a filter?

A: Filtration precision is important, but it does not describe the full working condition. Product structure, material, flow rate, pressure, temperature, solids loading, installation method, and maintenance plan can all affect whether a filtration product is suitable for a specific application.

  • What information helps identify replacement filter cages or support baskets?

A: Useful information includes diameter, length, wire quantity, ring spacing, top and bottom style, venturi or connection details, surface condition, coating if known, and photos of worn or damaged areas. If the cage or basket is reused with a new filter, its condition should be checked before confirming replacement specifications.

  • Can samples or old filters help confirm replacement specifications?

A: Yes. Old filters, samples, labels, drawings, and installation photos can help confirm dimensions, structure, connection style, material clues, and possible failure points. A sample does not replace working-condition information, but it can reduce uncertainty during replacement review.
