Characteristics of membrane covering of industrial filter cloth

August 22,2022

The membrane filter material of the industrial filter cloth is a layer of thin film with a high porosity and a thickness of less than 0.1mm. Its pore size can be accurately controlled through the manufacturing process. For dust filtration, the membrane shall be laminated on the base cloth to make it have sufficient strength and easy to use. The base cloth is non-woven or synthetic fiber. Now, the membrane filter material has become one of the filter materials widely used in industry. In addition to the membrane filter material, we also have filter bags, forexample envelope filter bags.

When installing the filter cloth, ensure that the filter cloth on the plate frame is flat and fixed, so as to avoid damaging the filter cloth when the plate frame is pressed due to the discount of the filter cloth. The time when the filter cake adheres to the filter cloth should not be too long. Too long a time will cause deformation and sagging of the filter cloth. When unloading the filter cake, shovel the filter cake along the direction of the filter cloth.

The industrial filter cloth film covering technology is mainly applied to the filtration and separation of medical and pharmaceutical industries, food, beverage and brewing industries, cosmetics manufacturing industry, electronics, power, chemical industry, aviation, transportation and other fields. In terms of environmental protection, it is mainly used for sewage treatment, soot purification, personal protection and filtration separation of suspended solids in gas and liquid.

According to the function, the industrial filter cloth covered filter material can be divided into microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. Microfiltration separation μ For example, ultrafiltration separates smaller particles to molecules, nanofiltration separates molecules, and reverse osmosis separates smaller molecules. Smoke and dust filtration is generally in the range of nanometer or above, that is, only particles larger than molecules can be purified. Therefore, microfiltration membrane is often used.

Traditional fiber filter media has obvious internal filtration characteristics, and particles are attached to the fibers. Themembrane covered filter materialis characterized by surface filtration, and the pore size of the microfiltration membrane covered filter material is quite uniform. The particles settle on the surface of the coated film and the surface of the particles, and few particles can enter the inside of the coated film. The big difference between the traditional fiber filter material and the membrane filter material lies in the size of the open space. Compared with the traditional fiber filter media, the pore size dispersion range of the membrane filter media is very narrow, that is, the geometric standard deviation is very small.
We also have other industrial filter cloth covered filter material products, for examplenew material food grade nylon liquid filter bag filter. If you need please contact the filter manufacturer.
