What are the commonly used low-temperature filter bags in steel mills?

April 28,2023

The filter bags required for different usage environments are different. For steel plants, cloth bags made of low-temperature resistant materials such as polyester needle felt, acrylic needle felt, and P84 are generally used to ensure that they can withstand the corrosion and tensile strength of low-temperature flue gas.

Polyester needle punched felt filter bags, acrylic needle punched felt filter bags, and P84 low-temperature fabric filter bags need to meet the following requirements

Permeability: The permeability of the cloth bag is an important factor affecting the dust removal efficiency. The general requirements for the bag are high porosity and good permeability to ensure the normal operation of the pulse dust removal system.

Thermal stability: In low-temperature flue gas environments, cloth bags are required to have good thermal stability and will not affect their service life due to thermal deformation, shrinkage, and other issues

Wear resistance: During the steel production process, filter bags are prone to erosion by smoke and material impact, so they need to have good wear resistance and extend their service life.

Length and diameter: The length and diameter of the dust collection bag need to be selected based on the specific dust collector model and pulse dust removal system parameters to ensure the best filtering effect and dust removal efficiency.

In summary, the selection of low-temperature filter bags in steel plants requires consideration of various factors, including technical parameters such as material, permeability, thermal stability, and wear resistance. When selecting, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the specific application environment and dust collector system requirements, and choose products with stable performance and reliable quality
